Random Solitary Thoughts

A good start... always a good start... and then some idiot has to come and spoil it all!!! It always happens... why does it happen? Shucks... okay.. from the beginning...

Started the day on a good note. Nuff said. Made plans to go watch Kakashi. Fair enough. Actually did the bookings despite some inconsistencies from some people. Still, all was well and I had a good CS session before a half hour nap. Life is good...:D Everything then proceeded well enough until the fateful moment where everything just went down...

This crazy poor excuse for a driver cut into my lane, almost crashing the car and endangering the lives of the occupants in the car. And without any apology, just drove off trying to act nochalant. What a JERK!!! And if that wasn't bad enough, I had to miss a turn, and ended up been stared at by this extremely sad looking motorcyclist [whom I can conveniently bump off the road and who obviously doesn't know this fact!]. The fella just couldn't stop staring at me the whole time as if I was some male model from some magazine or something. I know I was was wrong and made a mistake, but he didn't have to keep staring. And if both incidents hadn't occured within five minutes of each other, I would have probably driven into him and dragged him half-way through town, grinning and laughing hysterically all the way!!! [psychotic aren't I?!?!?!?] The lucky bastard had it lucky... I was too stumped to do anything drastic... and my course of meditation was under way... really lucky...

Now, that would seem enough for a day, but due to some form of miscommunication, I ended up collecting and PAYING for five tickets, for FOUR!!! Fortunately, the kind lady was kind enough to refund the last one and I was relieved and happy as a clam!!! [The fact that I was at the verge of bankruptcy didn't help my blood pressure a bit...] People, next time remind me NEVER to involve myself in the self-torturing task of ticket booking! I am now officially retired!!!

Final chapter! The movie was okay... not too bad, tho it could have been better. Anyways, I had a good time, and an interesting meal of Tosai Pizza at Bangsar afterwards. The day ended on a good note, so no complaints there. Ironic how a little bump in the middle of a road can cause so much trouble. It's a good thing I didn't let it get to the rest of my journey. I learnt something new today. Now I can sleep in peace.

Thoughts: Always smile. Be happy. Be upset if you must, but don't keep it too long. Remember to PAY the person booking the tickets!!! XP

Note: Don't feel guilty when you haven't been working. Feel very very guilty!!! XP

What a wonderful day!!! It's been raining non-stop! What more could you ask for? The overall turnout proved to be rather interesting. Had a rather fun time, though the day was off to a rather shaky start. But then again, what do you expect from a Monday anyway? I have now learned that one shall not underestimate the power of the drapes! There are just too many of them to go around. One will be surprised at the role that drapes play in our society. For further information go look up some crappy book on drapes! Don't ask me! I don't know a thing! Shucks... XP

And what a weekend it has been! Spent the rainy weekend at my Aunt's. Slept a lot! A whole lot! More than was good for me!!! Really... a lot! Now that I've slept SO much, I am ready to begin redoing everything again! Thanks a lot...

The weekend was a rather edgy one. Been trying to keep myself from over-reacting to certain situations. A lot of meditation. Lots of time to think. And sleep. It was a time of reflection! To re-evaluated my stand in all this mess! And the verdict is... [drum roll...] I'm going to sleep... nuff said... I know, it's an anti-climax, but hey, I've got no objections... see y'all soon!

Suddenly feeling peachy... yups.. peachy.. not grapey, or drapey... or anything for that matter...XP I have just recently discovered that there are just so many types of drapes! Wow! Talk about learning something new everyday! XP Ever heard of a 'riser'? 'Rostra'? 'Apple boxes'? 'Threads'? If you do.. good for you.. if you don't, don't bother! I know I didn't...XP

Had a huge lift today! Nuff said! Now let me wallow in happiness for a while...X>

A lot has happened lately that I'm not prepared to comprehend. The only thing left to do is to consult my own thoughts [or lack of it] in writing. Been feeling down of late. Maybe it's the food. Maybe it's the assignments. Maybe it's just me. Sometimes I feel like taking my life, but I know that's the dumbest possible way to escape. Sometimes, I just wanna run away from it all, live in the country, have a farm with pigs [sorry to my Muslim friends], cows, and lotsa chickens running around. And then I think again, that's not the way to go, now is it? So what I do? Spend the rest of my time here studying and doing research? Wasting my time for an effort that will eventually lead me nowhere? I do not know... I can only wait... and see...

Sigh... back to the old drawing board...

Up! Up! And stay UP!!! Even though one feels inclined to go to sleep, one has to stay up to prepare for a presentation in a few hours time. Go figure...

And finally, it's Sunday! And what a way to go... There goes the weekend... there goes the week... Research has been futile. With the lecturers unable to even come up with a decision, how can they expect us students to come out with something they're not even sure of? This sucks... Been trying to get my reading done... but somehow, I seem to fall asleep just after two pages. Is there such a thing as hypnotic pages? Anyways, back to work... and pray I do not fall asleep at the wrong times...

P.S. And to my friend who has to do some unexpected last minute work... lighten up! I'll treat you to lunch sometime kay? Chill out!!!

*Sniff* I hate colds! Nuff said! Been busy of late, doing my research online. The network seems to be more tolerable these days for some reason. Weather has been hot! I have therefore reached a conclusion. Research ain't that fun! Got a pile of books on my desk, got a whole list of bookmarks on my comp. Lacking cash in my wallet. Ulcers getting better, looking forwards to the day I can be a glutton again. Legs ache. Abs ache. Arms ache. Back ache. No more exercise for the weekend. Getting bored of available music CD's. Need to buy new ones or download more mp3's. Suddenly, I have nothing else to write. Maybe next time... abrupt ending.

Every cloud has it's silver lining. As long as it turns out okay in the end, it's okay. Been having a hard time trying to figure out where I'm going with my research. Realized recently that I was going nowhere... I was of course pissed with everything! But most of all, I was pissed with myself for not doing anything about it earlier. About two days ago, I finally sat down and started thinking, and guess what! I decided to change my research topic!!! And you know what? I'm actually much more happier now! I'm working productively, I am now able to find sufficient material for research, and I have a clear direction where I'm going. So after all that hassle and doing all those abstracts and stuff, I ended doing what I really should have done in the first place, and all was well.

The moral of the story. Don't ever listen to your lecturers. Listen to your friends. And if your lecturers ain't your friends, don't listen to them. Nuff said.

Wow... has it been that long since I last updated this blog? Well anyways... here I am... so there. Watched Audio Warfare/Battle of the Bands last night. I had to admit, the music and bands were getting better. Although there were only ten bands as compared to 17 the previous year, they were all good. And the guest band, Naked Breed, was proctically ROCKING the house. About the only thing that SUCKED was the fact that we were ACTUALLY divided into MALE and FEMALE! Yesh.... the hall was divided into two... and the women were being seated on the left side, while the guys were placed on the right side with a rope dividing the two sections. Yes!!! That's MMU for you! Anyone out there reading this blog contemplating furthering your studies in this Uni, well... this is one of the many downsides you'll have to deal with for the next three or four years! So if you're okay with swearing off women for the next few years... bring it on!!!

I know better than to stick around. that's why I'm leaving in another six months... until then... keep on rollin! [I know it sounds cliche... I'm highly motivated by that line kay?XP]

And the lag has returned... there goes the weekend. What a waste... Well... the weekend has been a fine one, and the week has gotten off to a good start. So all there is left is to hope that it stays that way. Maya still sucks... Max is the way to go... nuff said. Any questions... feel free to ask me... at your own risk! Been listening to oldies these few days... sorta like a pang of nostalgia... hope it passes by soon... either that or hope that I can finally download something worthwhile off the net. For now, I shall continue with my misadventures in Singapore [dem... you people must be thinking, "when is that bugger gonna finish this?". I share your sentiments...].

Day Five: Away and back again...

Today was the day Kotak's sis and her friend was to go back to Malaysia, leaving us to babysit Kotak's little cousin. Not a very enjoyable chore... :P but nonetheless... it was rather fun... and plus... someone's gotta do it...:P After seeing her sis off, Kotak and I went around the city area... just basically window shopping and loafing around. By now, you should have noticed that I'm getting pretty lazy and do not feel like writing anymore. So I shall now end my adventures in Singapore abruptly by saying that the next few days before we went back to dirty ole Malaysia was enjoyable and fun. For more details, feel free to approach either me or Kotak. And lastly, I would like to thank Kotak for showing me around in Singapore. Wouldn't have enjoyed it half as much if you weren't there.

Finally... I have finished my account of my trip to Singapore. So what now? I think I'll go do some research, or 3D... or something...

Note to think about: Fee fi fo fum, I wonder what's that up my bum, I hope it's not your thumb... [who writes this stuff anyway?] :P

The lag! Oh, the lag! Oh mighty lag monster... won't you please spare the bandwidth of this poor little internet user? I will only dominate 0.2 kb a second... please... that's all it takes for me to check my mail! What? No?! Why not?!? You have to accomodate the inconsiderate mass downloaders who add to the lag?!? Ah well... you win some... you lose some... dun wan to fren you already... shucks...

Yesh! The lag has arrived at MMU! And the only decent time to use the network connection is either during weekends [when all the inconsiderate mass downloaders go back to their snug little homes] or during the wee hours of the morning when their downloads are done and they're not awake yet to download more. Either way, you have to either sacrifice some sleep in order to check mail, or sacrifice a good weekend by staying back in this dump! Not a good idea...

Anyway, get ready for the 5th day onwards for my Singapore trip experience. Yesh! I know it's late... but heck... if the network had been better... [that's right.. blame procastination on the network...] well.. maybe next entry... :P
