The perils of thinking too much...

I am not me... for I am I,
and you are you,
and it is not for you to judge who I am,
for I remain who I am and will not be me,
but they judge me for who I am, and therefore,
I have become... me...

Autumn

And the feathers float down on their way to the river, forgotten and forlorn. A light touch of breeze caresses them as they fall silently in their melancholy descend.

Rivers flow like the silent stream that carries away the memories of yesterday, bringing with them the fallen leaves like the fallen hopes that she embraces in her bosom.

Flowers whither as they prepare for the coming of winter, a luxury she does not have the chance to experience. For winter does not exist in this land, but the flowers still whither...

The mystery solved...

I got back early from work yesterday. After a quick change of clothes and a garden fork in one hand, I started turning my living room upside down systematically, making sure everything is nicely checked for bits of animal carcass.

After close to half an hour of searching, I finally found... nothing! Nothing at all. So I began searching based on the sound of smell... and my search came upon the carpet. It reeked of the stench!!! That thing must have peed all over my carpet!

A quick banishing of the carpet to the spare room and the air is smelling fresher already. Will be airing the whole house during the weekend! Will also be disinfecting the place...

Last night, I slept well, knowing that there are no rotting carcasses in my home.

Desecrated...

My home has been desecrated!

It was about 11.35pm when I got back after capo and supper. What greeted me was a sight beyond the horror of waking up early on a weekend. There were little pieces of faeces everywhere!!! And at least three puddles of pee lying around in strategic places!

Upon closer inspection, it was revealed that the faeces were odourless!!! Not that I can smell anything with my blocked nose and all... and, they were RED!!! What manner of creature craps red pieces of crap?!?!?

It was everywhere! And some of it were camouflage against the wooden parquet fllor, making them harder to find... which is why on first inspection, I totally missed the ones upstairs.

Anyways, after cleaning up the mess, I stumbled into the kitchen, looking for any hidden souvenirs that may be lurking around when I chanced upon a papaya, with a big gaping hole in the side and all the contents gone!

Finally, I found the reason for the invasion! A quick search late revealed tiny foot/paw prints on the toilet tank. With my CSI skills and analytical mind, I was able to piece together what happened!

A squirrel had probably entered the house, and made short work of the papaya. After doing so, it probably went around trying to find a way to escape and crapped everywhere as a result.

Now, one would wonder, if such a creature could get in, then how would it get out? The same way? Or was it still around? A quick search unveiled nothing but a stench coming from the living room... A stench that reminded me of the time when I found a dead bird underneath my bed...

I wonder what I'll find later...

The New Year...

As Kalamari sits on the uncomfortable office chair, his thoughts flashes by in flashes of images all somehow uncannily connected to the past year. It has been a year filled with good and bad... and as he sits there, he wonders why he's writing unbelievably cliche material that many others will and have written about with regards to the new year.

Heck, he wonders... Why do people write about the year that has been? And the year that will be? Why doesn't anyone write about the year 1798? Not that he knows of anything significant that happened that year...

No... he shall be different... like the rebel that he is, he will write something different! Total garbage comes to mind and with a deft flick of his wrist, he types out the most obnoxious of New Year blogs...

...

And then he thinks to himself... "Man, I gotta find some material to write about... "

Happy New Year peeps!!!
