Working weekend...

The weekend is here!!! Well, at least for me it's here. Reason being, I'll be heading off to Kedah on a freelance work assignment! Why, you ask me? Simple. They aren't paying me enough! (Truthfully, I'm getting a little sick myself, muttering the words over and over again to justify the crap I have to face... )

It'll be just me and a friend sitting in a forest, filming, and feeding mosquitos. Three days and two nights of work... all during our merdeka weekend! Life's a punta!

Anyway, work is work, and as long as there's food on the table, work shall be dealt with... have a good weekend people!

Improvement?
A memo was circulated sometime this morning, explaining somewhat 'subtly' why the internet connection was not turned on. It seems, that a lot of websites surfed during office hours are 'not-work-related' and therefore not conducive to the working environment.

To solve this problem, management has decided to limit all internet access to only during lunch hours and after office hours, therefore, making the office as dull as it was before. This of course works in favour of those who find the upper mangement a bit hypocritical, as they are known to surf stock exchange websites and make calls to brokers during office hours.

They are also notorious for surfing news websites, and forums (both of which are among the sites listed as 'illegal'). Entertainment sites are also banned, limiting upper management from knowing what goes on in the entertainment industry (something our company desperately needs to be updated on).

Because of the above reasons, this blog will only be updated during lunch hours. Have a nice and pleasant day!

It's all about dirt...

Looks like time has passed by way too long for me to continue my canadian escapades without too much interruption. Therefore, I have decided that I shall write no more on that subject. Anyone wanting to know more can contact either me or Kotak to find out about the full adventure.

On the other hand, I have been busy playing KOTOR (Knights Of The Old Republic), a game which almost everyone I know has played and loved. I seem to have lagged behind somewhat... Incidently, I find this game more interesting that Doom3! Maybe it's because I find Doom3 a tad bit scary for those late nights alone at home...

Have a good Wednesday people...

Summer...

Summer... the season of sun... of brightness, of happiness... of sunburns, and beaches... of girls in skimpy bikinis, and more girls in skimpier bikinis... Yes, summer is a good time for everyone. And ironically, here, it's summer all year long...

I've been down with the flu and a sore throat, and I have a performance tomorrow evening in Bangsar. And if that's not bad enough, a last minute arrangement saw me playing host to my uncle, my cousin and two of his friends who are staying over for the night. That means, extra housework (have to get the place clean so that I don't look like a slob), buying extra snacks (so that they won't starve), and making sure there's enough room for everyone. And I seriously need some sleep!

Here's another pic... to remind us of happier times... (not that times aren't happy nowadays, but there is hardly even time, or a place (that isn't polluted) for me to just sit around and do nothing...

Creative outbreak!

Recently, I have rediscovered my 'form' in sketching, hence the sudden influx of sketches and whatnot doodles appearing all over my blog. This is a good thing, as I'm not as bored and sleepy as I usually am, and thus, productivity is guranteed. At least nowadays, I'm somewhat 'motivated' to go to work!

Here is something I doodled on the tablet.

Happy Weekend people!

Zombiefying Monday blues... in a blue shirt...

Behold! It is Monday again... and my Friday blog didn't really load because of some glitch in the internet connection which resulted in nothing being published after I painstakingly wrote something...

Anyway... my weekend had been fun! I bought KOTOR and played KOTOR and I'm hooked on it which resulted in me being extremely sleepy for the lack of sleep. So onwards to the infamous Canadian escapade...

Quebec City...

Thanks to the nature of express buses, and the fact that we left late thanks to the cursed suspected fake note, we arrived in Quebec City well after normal hours. In other words... late!

Well, after getting into a taxi (which drove at tremendous speeds along narrow roads to give an impression of a 'live' version of some racing game), we happily enjoyed the sights that the city has to offer. It was truly magnificent! The old buildings and castle walls made the whole place seem so ancient, in a nice way of course!

So after that, we arrived at the hotel, which was beautiful, and the same thing happened again. (The 'same thing' in this case refers to the booking of insufficient rooms for the wrong amount of people resulting in yours truly sleeping in a cramped corner beside the bed) This time however, the lady was nice and accomodated us without extra charges.

After checking in, we went on a litte walk in the blistering cold to look for food! In the end, we settled for some 'American' food because everything else was too expensive.

Then, we walked back to the hotel in the blistering cold and slept. Tomorrow we will explore the city of Quebec!
